Publishing: Selecting Quality Journals & Avoiding Predators In-Person

Publishing in quality publications is critical for faculty seeking promotion and tenure. Inadvertently publishing in a predatory journal could negatively impact this process. This workshop will help faculty develop the skills needed to identify what publications are worthy of pursuing and which ones should be avoided. Participants will be given hands-on practice researching a specific title (potentially good or bad) and using the Cabell’s database to find resources in their field.
